AMIR (Art Market India Report) is a new quarterly report on the Art Market of the Indian sub-continent, which will provide exclusive and useful information on the economics and infrastructure of art and culture. The report aims to bring about transparency in the industry by giving insights on the activities of the artist, collector, investor, banker, government official, institution-builder, and other stakeholders.
The publication will focus on financial and econometric analyses and will provide information pertaining to art as an investment and a force for development. Additionally, the report will feature facts and pointers on the art of collecting along with a Gallery Rating System (the first of its kind), to contribute to market transparency. AMIR will tackle these matters with an uncompromising objectivity so as to become the basis of authentic information flow pertaining to the market’s domestic and global infrastructure.
The report published by iACEi (The Council for the Indian Arts, Culture, Education and its Infrastructure) draws on the world class databases, archives and research of Osian’s - Connoisseurs of Art, making this knowledge available to the art fraternity as well as educational, financial and government institutions, across the globe.
As this is a new endeavor and will evolve over the next few issues, we would greatly appreciate feedback for improvements and innovations. Please do send us any comments at amir@iacei.org. We hope you enjoy reading this inaugural complimentary issue.
